St. Peter’s College, Shillong Review


This is a very poorly managed college especially for teachers. I used to be a faculty there.

This college was very good and reputed before but now it is completely ruined. The teachers are poorly paid and are extremely demotivated because they are made to come to college all the way from their homes and if no student turns up for class, they are not paid for that class. Now there are hardly 1 or 2 students per course - so mostly it happens that teacher is there to teach but no students hence the teacher doesn't get paid and as a result they are not happy about wasting their valuable time. The library has also deteriorated very much now, earlier it used to be good. Now its not good at all.In books, it all looks very good but in practice - its pathetic.

A teacher who is upset and demotivated due to management team can not teach well in a college. And I feel a good faculty is extremely important for a successful college and future of students.

Hence I'll not recommend this college to any student because unnecessarily they'll be made to pay for services they'll not get.
