MES College of Engineering was established as an institution with minority status in 1994.MES college aims to bring out the best in students and mold them into capable and caring human beings.This college has rapidly developed and is ranked among top 10 colleges of Kerala.Today over 2750 students undertake their undergraduate and post graduate courses here, under the expertise of over 400 qualified faculty members and research guides.MES college is particularly good in infrastructure which is pretty bad in other colleges.Placements are good, Many companies are visited in previous year but average annual salary is not nice.The Training and Placement Cell imparts training to students from first year onwards giving emphasis to motivational skills, communication skills, interpersonal relationship, leadership qualities and other soft skills, group discussions and interview techniques but still some problems.Placement Cell maintains very good relationship with all leading IT companies such as Infosys, TCS, Wipro, CTS, IBS, Satyam, US Technology, HCL etc.
Very recently Dr. E Sreedharan, M D, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation visited MES Engineering college and talk to students and staffs.He shared his thoughts and ideas with students.
The main problem here is higher fee structure in absense of research projects and adequate Industry internships.Many students are here from backward classes and from middle class family.Most of the students are not ready to use the facilities due to laziness and unawareness.
Overall i will give 7/10 to this college in comparison to other Kerala colleges.
