Gaya College Gaya, Gaya Review
Gaya College is the most prestigious college of Gaya and the first constituent unit of Magadh University, Bodh Gaya. The college overs 50 Under graduate and Post graduate courses in different faculties along with management courses and other vocational course.
However, the management and college administration functioning is very poor. No regular classes are held for all the courses. This college is good for those students who are doing B.C.A, B.B.M or B.Sc (I.T). For these courses, the students have to attend regular classes. Since this is a fully government aided institution, so the faculty and other staffs behave in an unresponsive manner. Even the clerks and peons behave arrogantly.
Often many boys from outside who are not even a student of the college enter into the campus. Those boys risk the discipline and security of the college students.
They don't bother much about the facility of students. Most of the classrooms are in poor conditions and not every building is well furnished. There are no proper desks and lightning in many classroom. There is no canteen in the college campus. So, the students have to buy edibles from outside the college which are generally unhygienic. The condition of playground is also miserable. Generally, stray animals can be seen roaming here and there in the playground. The condition of the laboratory and library is very miserable. Heaps of dust are there on some of the apparatus in laboratories like they have been never touched by anyone. The condition of the library is almost same. There is a big auditorium where more than 1000 people can easily sit at a time.
The college organizes many events and cultural fests from time to time. These program motivates students to take part in extra curricular activities.
