Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidhyalaya, Rangat, Middle Andaman is the most popular school of this area. This school is run by Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari. This school is under the control of Zilla parishad Adyaksh. All the necessary funding regarding the building, leveling of playground, furniture are done by the Zilla parishad. The academic and other areas of teaching learning activities are managed by the Vivekananda Kendra. The payment for the teachers are offered from the fee collection from the students.
Academic Area of Zilla parishad vivekananda kendriya vidyalaya:
This school is having good academic records. The students of this school generally having good fluency in English. This is being a English Medium ,the children are not allowed to speak in any language other than English. There are many bright students who can uphold the fame of this institution. It is commonly felt that only the students of educated parents are studying here.
Admission Criteria of ZPVKV:
For getting admission in Class I, the child should complete at least 6 yrs of age till the first of April. There is no screening test for students as well as parents introduced following the supreme court order. The child must have a birth certificate for getting admission in class I and for other class children must have a Transfer certificate.
Facilities available at ZPVKV, Rangat:
The school is having a big playground. This is sufficient for the students of this school. The school is also having a small library apart from the basic facilities like electricity, water, furniture etc. This school is having no Hostel and Bus facilities.
Fee structure of ZPVKV, Rangat:
In the beginning of a session you have to pay an amount of Rs 1200/- as a session fee and subsequently there is a monthly fee of Rs 500/- per month irrespective of any class.
Out door activities at ZPVKV, Rangat:
Excursion / Study Tour is arranged by the school authority once in a year. During this study tour the students are usually taken to beeches, reserve forest, areas showing the soil erosion.
Timing of Zilla parishad vivekananda kendra vidyalaya, Rangat:
The school starts at 8:30 am and closes at 2:30 pm however the teachers of the school must present in the school up to 3:00 pm.

The school is affiliated to CBSE and it is fully recognized by the Andaman and Nicobar Administration, Portblair. The school under the management of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya and the infrastructure provided by Zilla parishad of the concerned zilla.
