Ghanashaym Hemalata Vidya Mandir, Puri Review Ghanashaym Hemalata Vidya Mandir (GHVM) institute comprises of both merits and demerits, like two sides of a coin. It is totally a residential school and builds the character of a student at different levels.
At the primary level, it is tough for parents to leave their child in a residential school due to the odd circumstances but still, GHVM is the best boarding school at an affordable cost. If the child does not even how to eat by himself the hostel has a Didi or an appointed employee who will teach them. At the next level, the child needs to be independent and this makes them strong in GHVM as they learn moral values along with subject content. In the class of 11 and 12 the strict rules of GHVM are the best one...because teenagers usually are misguided at this age.
The campus has a fixed number of seats. Faculties are not always the best in every subject but they are qualified enough to make your child successful and the evidence is the result of class 10 and 12 results. Laboratories are well equipped. There is a playground.
Hostel for girls: there is only one girl's hostel for all the girls and 1 to 5 standard boys. The hostel restrictions are very much strict and this also appears to be like in jail to almost every hostelite, but later they realize this jail was better than the freedom in their imagination. Sanitation is also good. And there is morning and evening prayer and most importantly the teachers reside with students.
Hostel for boys: there are two boys hostel one up to 10 and another for 11th and 12th class students. The boys' hostels are not as strict as the girls' hostel. Here also, students go for prayers. Hostel dress is there to maintain uniformity.
Food: it is healthy when compared with other hostel food but not equal to what we get in the home. So in this, we need to adjust.
I would rate the school 4 / 5. Its a good environment but if u really want to study.
