PROFILE : PSG College of Technology has an independent placement office catering to the needs of organizations in conducting campus interviews. It is headed by a professor designated as Dean, Placement & Training and he is supported by placement officer and a full time permanent coordinator. The office is also assisted by student coordinators who lead a team of placement representatives from various courses of studies. The placement office ensures and takes care to provide the best arrangements and hospitality for the visiting companies officials. The placement office, functions in a separate air conditioned block with all audio visual facilities for PPT, written test, group discussion and interviews and has rapidly progressed over the years in enhancing the placement potential effectively. It plays a very important and key role in counseling and guiding the students of the college for their successful career placement. More than 90 reputed National and Multinational companies visit PSG Tech for campus recruitment annually. 100% of the students secure job offers before they complete their programme of studies and leave the college. PSG College of Technology is ranked one among the top fifteen National level technical Institutes, in terms of number of students receiving placement offers from reputed organizations from all over the country.

Students Union, the heart and soul of PSG College of Technology and PSG Polytechnic College, patronises 14 clubs and 34 technical associations and is at the helm of various intra & intercollegiate cultural & technical symposiums. The SU portfolio boasts of a kaleidoscope of activities which include first year admission, Passports made easy, License at your hand, INTRAMS-an intra college cultural extravaganza, Monthly end review of current affairs, KRIYA-an international techno management fest, EQUINOX-an intra college paper presentation contest, TECH WIZARD an intra college talent hunt, INTERFACE WEEK aiming at transforming students to professionals, POLYMEET-an inter polytechnic technical symposium, INFINITY-an intra polytechnic paper presentation contest and many more.
