Acharya Institute of Technology, Bangalore Review Hi, This is Ravi Raj, studying final year Comp. sc. Engg. in Acharya. This college was established in 2000 with initially 4 banches(CS,IT,EC,MECH) and currently it has 11 branches. This college has rapidly developed and is ranked among top 100 colleges of India(outlook,CSR,Dataquest).Lowest faculty qualification in all branches are M.tech and it is first private college in karnataka to implement 6th pay commission salary. Placements are good, around 50 companies visited in 2009-10 (excluding pool campus)but very high salary is not yet given, Average 3.2 LPA. Many Industry-institute partnership exists, such as IBM entrepreneur Incubation Centre, Novell centre of excellence, SAP training etc. This college is particularly good in infrastructure which is pretty bad in other college.Branches such as CS,IT,EC and MECH are good however other branches are relatively new so cant comment on their performance. This is only college in karnataka having Mechatronics branch. Research prospects in this college is still in nascent stages but it is slowly gaining pace with VTU reseach centres in BIOTECH and MECH....and CSE possibly in next 2 years. The main problem here is higher fee structure in absense of research projects and adequate Industry internships(which is due to a laughable 1 month vacation given by VTU). Overall i will give 8/10 to this college in comparison to other karnataka colleges.
