PMS College of Dental Science & Research affliated by Kerala University was formed by a group of NRI trustees who wanted to provide quality dental education to those who sought to be enlightened. The institution is known for its faculty, who have not only excelled in their stream of work but also in the act of training students so as to churn out skillful dentists, who are instilled with compassion for their patients.

Infrastructure
Built over an area of 155000 square feet the college stands proud over the Golden hills dwelling labs,lecture halls,conference rooms,a spacious library and well equipped clinics.The college also provides separate hostel for girls and boys. It is a lovely campus uphill with misty mornings and serene atmosphere that would tune your minds to focus on your goal.Transport facilities are adequate for both students and patients
More than studies
Apart from studies the college organises various personality development programmes,stress management work shops,cultural events and conferences for the students. The college timing is from 8am to 2pm(except during certain festivals)which gives students ample time to engage in leisure activities. The film club formed by the students play a movie of choice of students every week in the evening for the hostelites. Also festivals are celebrated with great zest and enthusiasm
Treatment of patients
The patients are given quality dental treatment under the quidance of senior teaching faculty at affordable cost. An array of treatment options are discussed with the patient prior the procedure keeping in mind the patients best interests. They are recalled periodically for review depending on the treatment procedure
The Curriculum
The orientation classes provided to freshers gives a general insight of what dentistry is about. It is followed by lectures and practicals in the lab. The third year students are exposed to clinical training where they get to interact with patients and treat them. The students are not given suprises by conducting suprise tests but tests are held almost every month in addition to 3 internal exams in a year and one board exam conducted in the year end ,except in fourth year part II when exams are held after 6 months. The internship aids students to polish their clinical skills and acquire the art of convincing the patients regarding the best treatment option for them.
