I was enrolled in class nursery in the year 1997 and since then I studied here till completing +2 in 2012. The school was established in 1985 and is one of the best schools in the area.
During my period I saw the development of the school premises with new building for secondary classes, new Euro Kids wing for primary and kindergarten classes and new playground.

National Public School is the first school in the city to start language lab and smart classroom system and now every class is equipped with projector and smart class system for audio-visual learning. The school has student teacher ratio of 10:1 and have well experienced staff comprises of about 50 teachers. The school has a well stocked library and even the students got benefited from the Re one newspaper scheme by the school with collaboration with The Tribune.

The school has a well established playground which is the official playground for district level cricket matches by Punjab Cricket Association.

The main drawback is that most of the teachers who taught the board classes are not regular and even during my class +2 our physics and chemistry teacher was changed twice during the year. This is the main problem that the teachers recruited by school does not stay for long.

Another drawback is that earlier the school had the hostel facilities but now it has been shut down and many of the students from distant areas have to travel long distances to come to school and the school is situated across the railway crossing and near truck union and whenever there is crop seasons or railway crossing is crossed then the most of the students who come from the opposite side of city and villages on Mukstar-Bathinda road got late as there is lot of jam on the road to school. Even the school does not operate its own transportation fleet like other major schools of area.

The canteen of the school does not have the sit and eat facility and students have to eat in the open but recently I came to now that new canteen with seating is being constructed in the school premises.

Overall I could say that the school is good for study even though it is going through development phase in some areas like teaching staff regularity, transportation etc and I would definitely recommend it to all.

Even my three younger siblings are studying here currently.
