Sai Vidya Institute of Technology, Bangalore Review We got our cousin admitted to SVIT based on a commendation by our relative, but we regret it greatly now.
Teaching: The teaching level is below average. You learn to pass the internals and exam only, but no curiosity is imparted.
Administration: It is unprofessional, only money matters to them.
Placement: You can aim for IT job, but you get placed in a call centre or in customer support service type of work.
This professional college is run by business people, not by academicians. It is utter foolishness to get admitted to this college just based on poster boys like Holla, Padma reddy, Jayasimha. If you see their home page, they are trustees of SVIT, all coming from other previous institutions.
Added to this, the admins are not really academicians. If you see the home page of SVIT, it is run by real estate backup, not with mindset of excellence for academics. On one the promoter's page it says that the main person is pursuing doctorate in a busy schedule and teaching is a hobby. This is the first time I see somebody considering teaching as hobby! Thus, one realizes what will be their focus. It is doubtful if they have proper academic qualifications.
To conclude, think before you get your child or siblings admitted to this college. I recommend it solely if you don't have good CET ranking or want to pursue engineering degree at any cost, particularly if you have relatives with below average grades and can get admission through the administrator in this college, then it is a place to time pass.
