Air Force School located at Avadi in Chennai was started in the year 1948 and is managed by IAF Educational and Cultural Society. It is a co-educational institution and it offers education from Pre-KG to class X as per the curriculum of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The school has received “Best Air Force School Secondary Level" and the “Best Air Force School Secondary Level in maintenance command" awards among all the Air Force Schools for the year 2014-2015.
AcademicsThe school provides education to the students from KG to class X. English is the medium of instructions in the school. Hindi is the compulsory language till class X. The school has introduced Sanskrit as a third language from class VI. Computer education is given to all the students from class I to X.
