BMS is a residential military school in Nasik established by Dr. Balakrishna Shivram Moonje in 1937. As the name suggests, this school is well known for imparting military education to every student with compulsion. This is an English medium school and affiliated to CBSE and state board.
FacilitiesBMS is well furnished with the facilities required for a better education with discipline. There are total 14 hostel rooms which is also called Bhawan. Every student is provided with a bed, a cupboard and study table.Students visit a common mess to have breakfast, lunch and dinner. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian both types of food are served here.Apart from several extra-curricular and cultural activities, school auditorium serves the purpose of cinema too for the students on alternate Saturdays.The school is blessed with huge playground facilitating different specific sections for various sports such as football ground, athletic track, basketball courts, volleyball court, hockey ground, horse riding, rifle shooting yard and a swimming pool.Balaji Health Centre available to provide preliminary medical aid to the students. A full time medical attendant appointed to look after the health center.Various scholarships offered to the eligible students from the State Governments, management of the school and K.C. Mahindra Education Foundation.
Military training, Sports, Extra-curricular activities, Summer-Winter camps and ClubsEach and every student is provided Military training with compulsion to inculcate discipline and leadership qualities. Activities included in Military training are horse riding, battle obstacle course, ncc, squad drill, disaster management, weapon training, map reading, field craft, battle craft, public speaking, school band, adventure training, swimming, self-defense and yoga.Bhonsala Military School is identified by Sports Authority of India (SAI) due to its great performance and achievements in sports. Sports range covers athletics, hockey, shooting, football, basketball, gymnastics, boxing, mallakhambh, handball, kho-kho and kabaddi.Several competitions in extra-curricular activities are elocution, drawing, craft, drama, debates, community singing, quiz and essay writing etc.Students are provided a chance to participate in Multi Adventure Summer camps and winter camps organized by Bhonsala Adventure Foundation running under CHME society.There are various hobby clubs to develop hobbies in the students.
