About Don Bosco Higher Secondary School Admissions for 2025 - 2026 Academic Year Please contact the school directly for the admission procedure in specific schools. About Don Bosco Central School Don Bosco Central School, Irinjalakuda was established in the year 1963 when Rev. Fr John Med who was Provincial of Don Bosco came from Madras. Dr.George Alapatt had started work on setting up Don Bosco Institutions and Fr. Med sent an application for the unaided high school to the Director of Public Instruction, Trivandrum. In the year 1963, the Government sanctioned Don Bosco High School and it was an unaided school. At first, there were only a few students. Then they took 11 acres of land for RS 40,000 which was granted by the Irinjalakuda citizens. Fr.Anthony Thekkeniath blessed the school and Fr. Andrew Dorairaj took the charge of the school. There were 130 students 4 staff teachers. T.P Kunjuvareed Thaliath took his house for a celebration of mass and the Fathers stayed there. On June 29, the school was dedicated to the Sacred Heart Jesus. At first, it consisted of upper primary and eight standards. The medium of the class was in English and Malayalam. Then the staff strength was raised to nine by the month end. A three-storied building was completed in the year May 27, 1971. It gives accommodation to 160 students. Curriculum Don Bosco High School is following the curriculum of Kerala State Board of Education. The Higher Secondary School follows the State Syllabus too.
