Established in 1999 by the Rosily Educational and Charitable Trust (REACT), Rosily Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Chitlapakkam, Chennai is an English medium co-ed school from the Kindergarten level up to Class 12.
In addition to qualified teachers and admin. and office staff, the school has a competent Counsellor who schedules sessions with individual students or staff as required. Students participate in club activities and are taken on study tours and fun excursions. In addition to project work and cultural programs, Junior Red Cross, Scouts and Guides and Band are other activities for students of Class 6 to Class 9.
Academics Students from the primary level to Class 10 of the Rosily Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Chennai study the curriculum of Samacheer Kalvi of Tamil Nadu, that is, the Tamil Nadu Uniform System of School Education as implemented by the State Government of Tamil Nadu. Students of Class 11 and Class 12 study the curriculum of the Tamil Nadu State Board. Tamil is offered as the second language and Hindi is offered as the third language. General Knowledge and Computer Science are part of the curriculum from Class 1 to Class 10. The higher secondary students can select a group of subjects in the Science or the Commerce stream, and the languages offered are Tamil, Sanskrit, Hindi, and French. Students can learn dance, music, karate, chess and yoga. Abacus learning is for students from Class 1 to Class 7.
Campus infrastructure There are two academic buildings on the campus of Rosily Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Chennai, one for KG and primary classes and the other for secondary and higher secondary classes. The smart classrooms are equipped with multimedia tools. There are science labs, a computer lab, a library, and an audio-visual room. Sports facilities outdoors on the playground and indoors, including for badminton, tennis, volleyball, basketball, etc. School buses are available on specific routes.
Admission procedure The admission process at Rosily Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Chennai for the current academic year starts in January/February. Parents can obtain the application form for registration from the school office and submit the completed form along with the registration fee (the fee is not refundable) at the school office. Along with the registration form, parents must submit the following documents-
- The community certificate
- The child's birth certificate
- The Transfer Certificate, if applicable
- The student's photos
