About Sethu Bhaskara Matriculation Higher Secondary School

Sethu Bhaskara Matriculation Higher Secondary School which started its educational service from 6.6.1988, stands today as one of the premier institutions, imparting high quality English medium education. Mr Sethu Bhaskaran is the Founder of this institution. Dr Sethu Kumannan, the Correspondent, is the presiding authority in the administration of the school. The school is divided into five academic sections-the Kindergarten, the Primary, the Middle, the Secondary and the Higher Secondary. These sections are operated under independent Heads who are accountable to the Principal.

The school is co-educational. Admission is open to all the students irrespective of caste, creed, religion or nationality. There is no discrimination, whatsoever. The School has successfully passed out seventeen batches of Std. X students and fifteen batches of Higher Secondary students. It has been producing hundred per cent pass results in the Examination, The school has produced 3 state ranks in the year 2005-2006. The school enjoys the official recognition of the Matriculation Board, the Board Higher Secondary Education and the Government of Tamilnadu. It has highly efficient administrators and a dynamic team of competent teachers. It has a strength of 5000 students and 250 members of staff. It also provides Free Education to about a hundred and fifty poor students. These factors have been responsible for the phenomenal growth and success of the school. The Veeramangai Velunachiar Block is named after the first woman freedom fighter of India.

Mr.Sethu Bhaskaran is the founder of the school and Dr.Sethu Kumanan is the correspondent of the school at present. This school has the recognition of the matriculation board by the government of Tamilnadu.
