Edison G Agoram Memorial School (EGAMS) was established in the year 1998 in memory of late Shri G. Agoram, an Engineer who idolized Thomas Alva Edison. The school is managed by G Agoram Pillai Memorial Trust and it offers education from LKG to class X. It is a co-educational institution affiliated to the CBSE board, New Delhi. The school takes the pride as it was the first CBSE School in Chidambaram. It is a government un-aided institution which is continuing its service in the field of education for more than 15 years.

Facilities

To provide education to the students in a friendly and a comfortable environment, the school has the necessary facilities and infrastructure. The entire campus of the school covers an area of 7.02 acres of land with buildings and playground. Separate furnished and ventilated classrooms are available for each section.
