About Walsingham House School

Walsingham House School was started in the year 1940 by Mrs. Tree with an aim to educate the children of government officials of that time. Mrs. Adcock bought the school in 1944. The location of the school changed many times and currently, it is on L.J. Road. In 1955, it got fully recognized by the educational authorities and currently it is registered as an I.C.S.E. school with a team of around 103 faculty members and 1500 students.
Academic details-There are 3 main sections in academics-
- Kindergarten
It includes nursery, K.G. and Prep. This section enables the kids to learn through playing. The school timing for these kids is 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. - Junior
It includes classes from 1st to 4th. Here, the students get familiar with various disciplines, understand the concepts and nourish the ability of critical thinking. - Senior
Classes from 5th to 10th come under this section. Here, the students are well prepared to analyze what they have learned. Junior and Senior sections students come to school at 7:40 a.m. and stay till 2:00 p.m.
Extra-curricular activities-Apart from teaching the core subjects, the school also supports the extracurricular activities to support the overall development of the students. These activities include sports like basketball, football, badminton, etc. The school also supports and provides training for athletics, dance, karate, dramatics, debates, etc. The school also participates in interschool, district, state and national level competitions.
A space camp to NASA is an attractive activity for girls of class 9th and 10th.
Facilities-The school building is actually a former palace and hence the classrooms are big and spacious, has large halls and big terraces. It also has well-equipped laboratories for Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Computers. Other facilities include a library, badminton and basketball court, a counseling cell, and visual and performing art rooms.
