GRT Mahalakshmi Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School was started in the year 1992 and is managed by GRT Educational Trust. Academics GRT MV School offers education from KG to class XII as per the syllabus of the Tamil Nadu education board. The school teaches Tamil, English, Maths, EVS and Computer Science to all the students from class I to V. In addition to the basic academic subjects, the school also teaches General Knowledge, Arts and craft, Music and Value Education. Physical education is also a part of the curriculum. For the students from class VI to X, the school teaches Tamil, English, Maths, Science (Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology), Social Science (History, Civics, Geography and Economics), and Computer Science. A centralized computer center with internet and multimedia facility is available for all the students from class I to XII. To conduct practical classes, the school has separate well equipped laboratories for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. A wide play area is available for the students to improve their sports talent. Activities Co-curricular activities are the part of the curriculum. One student must actively participate in one games/sports and one fine arts activities mentioned below. The Co-curricular activities are compulsory for all the students from class VI to VIII. The classes for co-curricular activities will be conducted after school hours (3.15 p.m. - 4.00 p.m. and 4.00 p.m. - 4.45 p.m.)
