Nimawat Public School (NPS) is an English medium coeducational school located in Fatehpur city in the Shekhawati belt of Rajasthan. The school is a premier residential school with a lush green campus on 112 acres of land. The school is affiliated with CBSE and runs classes from class IV to XII. Both science and commerce streams are available at the higher secondary level for the students to choose from depending on their subject orientation. Being a residential school students from across the country and even abroad study at this school.
Infrastructure and facilities The school has excellent facilities for learning, sports, accommodation and a host of activities. Located afar from the city, the school has a dust and pollution-free atmosphere.
The school has a good number of facilities for sports. There are four playgrounds for football, four courts for volleyball, five cricket pitches, and two basketball courts apart from one ground each for hockey, polo, kho-kho, handball and a skating rink. Besides, there are three lawn tennis and badminton courts each and ten tables for table tennis. The school also has facilities for martial arts like Judo, Karate and Taekwondo. There are regular interclass, inter-house and interschool competitions, including participation in district-level and state-level championships.
NPS has equestrian facilities with its own horses and horse riding training imparted by well-trained horse riders. The riding arena is spread over 8 acres of land and another 10 acres for the polo ground.
The school imparts value education to its students. Yoga and meditation are integral parts of the curriculum. Bhajans and sloka chantings are done every evening. Art of living courses is taken at regular intervals. From time to time, the students are taken for educational tours and excursions, within the city and outside as well as for trekking on the hills.
There are separate hostels for boys and girls with both AC and non-AC options. The rooms are well-furnished and well-ventilated. The mess is airconditioned. The hostels are taken care of by full-time wardens and attendants. Dish TV connections are provided at the hostels apart from movie screenings every Sunday as part of recreation activities for the boarders. 24 hours water supply and pure drinking water are among the basic facilities available at the hostels. There are also staff quarters within the campus and facilities like medical clinic, canteen, telephone exchange, etc.
Among the other facilities, the school provides a physician available round the clock. Students have to undergo routine health checkups. Specialists doctors and hospitals are available in Fatehpur city, 1 km from the school.
Admissions For admission at this prestigious school, parents need to download the registration form and submit it to the school. An application fee of Rs 1000 is to be paid. A written test is conducted for classes IV to XII. The test is on Hindi, English and mathematics.
