Appasaheb Birnale Public School (A.B.P.S.), Sangli is a senior secondary school under the management of the Shri Vasantrao Banduji Patil Trust. The school has received an extension for affiliation to the CBSE Board, Delhi up to 2025. Co-curricular activities include Art, music, yoga, and sports.
A.B.P.S. Sangli Campus infrastructure In addition to over 70 classrooms, there are two computer labs, and one lab each for physics, chemistry, biology, maths, and language. The music lab has both Indian and Western musical instruments. There is an audio-visual lab as well, equipped with a multimedia projector, a DVD player, and a television set with a good compilation of educational videos. The school library is well-stocked with academic-related books, fiction and non-fiction books, periodicals, magazines, and CDs. The canteen provides nutritious vegetarian food as per a menu drawn up by professional dieticians and it is changed on a monthly basis.
Sports infrastructure includes facilities for cricket, football, and volleyball. Table tennis, chess, and carrom are a few of the indoor games. One of the major highlights of the sports facilities at Appasaheb Birnale Public School is the extensive training program in swimming, with 10 levels to enable students to develop their aquatic skills in a step-by-step manner right up to the competitive level. The training is given in a large swimming tank under the supervision of experts.
Admission procedure Parents can seek admission to Appasaheb Birnale Public School, Sangli in the month of March or April as scheduled. There is a caution money deposit to be paid on the day of the admission test. This fee will be refunded when the child leaves the school, but it will not be refunded if the parents do not take admission to the school within a month of the scheduled time of joining.
The documents that should be submitted along with the completed application form for admission are-
- The child's original birth certificate
- The last progress report from the previous school (if applicable, when seeking admission to a higher class).
- A recent medical report signed by a registered Doctor.
- The Transfer Certificate (TC) from the previous school (if applicable).
- Passport size photos.
