St. Alphonsa's High School was established in the year 1979 in Hyderabad. It offers education from nursery to class 10. The school is recognised by the Government of Telangana. It is an unaided school wholly dependent on its own funds generated through student's fee. The school is run by St. Alphonsa's Educational Society. It is a secular school and caters to the educational needs of students of all the communities.
Teaching is done in English medium. There are regular tests like slip tests, unit tests, revision and terminal tests conducted by the school and special attention classes are taken for the students of class 6 to 10. Home work and class work are regularly checked and corrected.
FacilitiesSchool has all the basic sports and games facilities available for the students. There is a dedicated physical education teacher who guides the students in these activities.
Students are taken out for tours to places of historical and academic interest. The teachers who are well versed with the details accompany them.
Students are encouraged to take part in various extra curricular activities like singing, elocution, bala kavi sammelanam, painting etc. Kavi sammelanam is held in Telugu, English and Hindi languages. Regular contests are conducted in these activities and the outstanding students are rewarded.
School is having a state of the art Computer Laboratory where students learn about computer techniques and undertake various projects assigned to them.
The students are provided a conducive environment for creative activities and prepare items of arts, craft, and science models. During the parent teacher meet, which is held during each term, they exhibit their creativity through their projects and art items made by them. The parents are asked to go around and judge the best items which are then rewarded by the school.
AdmissionsParents/guardians interested for admission of their wards in this school have to visit the school website (http://stalphonsas.com) and click on the 'contact us' tab. A form will appear on the screen where they have to give all the personal and other details about the candidate like name, date of birth, address, contact mobile number, email address, last class and school wherever applicable, class in which admission is being sought, detail of parents etc and submit the same online. The school will immediately contact back the parents within 1-2 working days and intimate the seat availability and process of admission.
