About E. R. Higher Secondary School

E.R. Higher Secondary School was founded in the year 1896, at Edayatru mangalam, 3 kms away from lalgudi by Sri.Rangasamy iyer.
In 1900 Sri.Rangasamy iyer started a Hindu Middle School near Nandhi kovil street. In 1922 Sri.Rangasamy iyer passed away and the responsiblity was taken over by his son Sri.R.Natraja iyer.

In 1933 the school was upgraded as a High school with efficient faculties. Sri.R.Nataraja iyer was in the post of head master from 1922 to 1958. He also took over the responsiblity of correspondent and held the post till his death in 1973.

In 2000 A.D. the school celebrated its centenary year and continues to provide quality education to the students in and around Trichy.
