Kendriya Vidyalaya, NMR was established in 1972 at IIT, New Delhi and in the year 1983 it was shifted to its present location at New Mehrauli Road. The Vidyalaya has primary branches at IIT campus, NCERT campus & JNU campus. It has eight sections in each class from 1st to 12th providing education in all the three streams - Science, Commerce and Humanities.
Facilities The school has ample facilities for all round development of children. It has four Science Labs, six Computer Labs, a Gym, a Maths Lab, a Geography room, a well equipped Library, three Staff Rooms with computer facility, an English/Hindi activity room, an Art/Craft room, a German Room, an SUPW room, a Ceramic lab, and a fully air-Conditioned Conference Hall. There are also sports and games facilities such as a Table Tennis room, a Shooting range, a Squash Court, a Swimming Pool and a Yoga room and courts for Basket Ball, Volley Ball and Badminton, a Skating area, a Cricket Ground, etc. - Gypsy
