Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jharodakalan, New Delhi came into existence in 1975 in CRPF barracks. In 2005, the school was shifted into an imposing, three storied structure with spacious, well-lit classrooms equipped with all modern facilities. Now, the school imparts education up to +2 level in Science, Commerce and Humanities streams.
Facilities The school has 36 classrooms, three computer labs, one library, one resource room [primary], one resource room [secondary], one activity room and one staff common room. It has ample facilities for indoor and outdoor games like kho kho, football, athletics, volleyball, kabaddi etc
The school has three computer labs with 113 computers for 1556 students. There is a healthy student-computer ratio of 14:1. The computers are connected to the internet with two connections of 1 MBPS each so that the students can get exposure to the internet. The staff common room and the room for office staff are also equipped with computers. The school also has 14 LCD Projectors and two TVs.
The school does not lay emphasis on studies only. It encourages students to take part in various co-curricular activities, such as dance, music, recitation, calligraphy, drawing, painting, debates and declamation etc. - Gypsy
