Bharathi Matriculation School was started in the year 1985 as a nursery school and is now operating as a high school with nearly 375 children. The school offers education from LKG to class X. It is a co-educational, English medium institution affiliated to the Tamil Nadu state board education. The school mainly caters to the educational needs of the kids of the Government employees residing in the Collectorate area. Bharathi matriculation school aims to provide quality education to the students and to develop the talent, creativity, discipline, moral values and intellectual skills of the students.

Academics For Kindergarten classes, the school follows Montessori Method and Whole Brain Development (WBD) method. Basic education is given to the kids in a play-way method using colourful Montessori teaching aids.
From class I to X, the school follows Equity syllabus (Samacheer Kalvi) of the Tamil Nadu state board. The school teaches the students through an interactive SMART class method and DIY activities. Both theoretical and practical classes are conducted in the school for the better understanding of the subjects.
The school evaluates the academic performance of the students by conducting internal assessments and exams. The school also encourages the students to attend Olympiads national and international level exams and other talent examinations.
Infrastructure Bharathi Matriculation School has ventilated classrooms, smart class, and activity labs. To gain practical knowledge of the subjects, the school has separate, well-equipped laboratories for English, Mathematics, Science, and Computer. Playground with the necessary equipment to play indoor and outdoor games is available in the school. The school has a separate bathroom and toilet facility for both boys and girls.
To gain more information knowledge, the school has a spacious library stocked with more than 3000 books, magazines, journals, newspapers, etc. on various topics such as science and technology, mathematics, astronomy, puzzles, stories, general knowledge, biographies, history, etc. in both English and Tamil. Every classroom in the school has a hanging library where the students can read a book at their free time in their classroom itself.
The school has three vehicles with drivers and attendees for the pickup and drop of the students. Transport facility is provided to the students who reside within and outside the city covering a specific radius from the school. Transport facility can be used by paying nominal monthly fees.
Activities and Events The school gives importance to beyond the classroom activities and motivates the students to participate in the club activities conducted by various clubs. Each subject has a subject club which is managed by a student president and a secretary with the guidance of a teacher. Apart from the subject clubs, the school also has clubs such as Nature club, Creative club, and Heritage club.
The school arranges a lot of field trips, industrial visits and educational tours for the students to gain some real-time experience. Many interschool competitions are organized by the school to identify the talent hidden within the students. The winners of the competitions will be encouraged and motivated with prizes and awards.
Every year the school celebrates many festivals and national days by conducting competitions and cultural activities.
