Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Phagwara was started in 1965 and has now secured its position among the top-ranked institutions of Punjab after getting affiliated to P.S.E.B, Mohali. It is having around 1400 students including both boys and girls and is offering education from the pre-primary level till the 12th standard. The medium of education is English, Hindi and Punjabi and both medical and non-medical science courses as well as arts and commerce are available for students. The school is located in the center of the city and is easily accessible for students and staff.
Infrastructure and facilitiesIf we talk about any educational institute, the first thing which comes to our mind is their curriculum. This school follows a digital learning pattern which includes on-screen teaching with the help of animations, games, and other interactive tools.
There are 3 large science labs equipped with all the required equipment. One Home science laboratory is also there in the school with an aim to support the vocational learning of different household devices like dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, etc. This lab is an attraction for girl students as they learn about keeping the kitchen clean, preparing and serving of different recipes, and many other household work like embroidery.
A computer lab with advanced audio-visual techniques is available to provide all the computer-based education from class 1 to 12.
The library of the school is having a good collection of books including the four Vedas, newspapers, magazines, etc in English, Hindi and Punjabi. The unique feature of this library is that it is also available for the public after the school hours and people can issue the books for some time with the help of the in-charge.
A canteen is also available in the school offering hygienic food that too at reasonable cost.
Apart from all the above-mentioned facilities, the school is offering excellent transport services for students coming from the city and nearby villages. To facilitate learning, a generator, water cooler and water purifiers are also available for students as well as staff.
