About St. Teresa's Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School

It is one of the most popular and famous girls only schools in Kannur. It is established in 1862 and is functioned & managed by Sisters of Apostolic Carmel. Today, this school has an achievement of contributing disciplined education for 140 years. In 1862, at the beginning of the school from the suggestion of Mother Veronica, the name was St. Joseph School. But in 1871, it became under St. Teresa's convent, and the name changed to St. Teresas Anglo Indian School. The first Apostolic Carmel school was started at Mangalore in the name of St. Teresa (Spain).
Now more than 1860 girls studying from Nursery to Higher Secondary classes. It was named in the 1st place for scoring highest points in the years 2009 and 2011 State School Kalotsav.
