Sishya Matriculation Higher Secondary School was established in 2004 and is managed by Sri Arunachaleshwarar Educational Trust. It is a co-educational institution and English is the medium of instruction. The school is recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu. The main aim of the school is to cultivate moral standards in the minds of the students and to provide holistic and value based education.
The school provides scholarships to meritorious SC/ST students, poor students and to the children of the staffs who are employed in Sishya School based on the terms and conditions of the management.
AcademicsSishya Matriculation Higher Secondary School offers education from KG to class XII as per the curriculum of Tamil Nadu state. The KG kids are trained with basic education by conducting activities in a play way method. The students from class I to X are given education on subjects such as Tamil/Hindi, English, mathematics, science, social studies, computer science, general knowledge, moral instruction, arts and physical education. The school teaches Hindi as third language for all the classes from I to VIII.
For higher secondary classes (XI and XII), the school offers the following groups as per the syllabus of Tamil Nadu state board. Both English and Tamil medium of instructions are available only for higher secondary groups in Sishya School.
Group A: Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology
Group B: Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science
InfrastructureSishya School provides a complete infrastructure and learning environment to the students. The students are given education via smart technology. The classrooms are spacious and well-ventilated. Smart classrooms are available with audio-visual and multimedia equipment. For conducting practical classes and to improve the hands on experience of the students, the school has specialized laboratories for physics, chemistry, computer science, botany and zoology. The computer lab has latest computers with internet facilities and updated software. The school also has language lab and audio visual lab fitted with LCD projectors, language teaching computers and latest digital teaching aids. The school has playground and transport facilities.
ActivitiesTo bring out the artistic talent of the students, the school conducts arts and craft classes. The school provides training to the students in fine arts such as painting, dance, music, karate and yoga. The school organizes science exhibitions, cultural programmes and also celebrates sports day, Independence Day and other festivals.
