About the school
The MDS Senior Secondary School is a co-educational English medium school from the pre-primary to the senior secondary level. Science and Commerce streams are offered at the higher secondary level. The school was set up in 1998 by the Smt. Mohan Devi Somani Memorial Trust, got CBSE affiliation approval in 2004 and started senior secondary classes in 2006.

Infrastructure & Facilities

At the pre-primary level, students learn in classrooms filled with color and fun audio-visual aids. The school campus has a unique Child Media Lab which enables the children to develop not only essential oral & written skills, but also creative skills with the help of simulative equipment, art work, puzzles, etc.

The school library encourages reading habits at an early age, being well-stocked with story books, books on mythology, history, general knowledge, etc.

Both indoor and outdoor activities help the children to develop their personality too. Meditation, yoga & learning Shlokas are part of the education process.

Students of Class VI to X are prepared for various Olympiads. Socially Useful & Productive Work (S.U.P.W.), Art Education, Physical Education and Community Service are part of the curriculum for students of Class IX and X.

Science labs and sports facilities are available for all classes on the 3.5 acre campus. Indoor games include: Table Tennis, Badminton, Carrom, Chess. There is a Dance Room, Gymnasium and Music Room. Medical facilities are available when required.

The school provides transport facilities for pick-up and drop offs.

Admission process

The school prospectus and admission forms are generally available in January. The admission forms should be submitted as per the schedule by 2 p.m. at the school office. The academic session is from April to March.

For admission to Std XI Science stream, the student has to get a minimum grade of B1 in all the subjects in Class X. For admission to Std XI Commerce stream, the student has to get a minimum grade of B2 in all subjects.
