This school is also known as M G D Girls' School, Jaipur which was founded in 1943 and this is first public school in India for the education of girls. This school has precious dining hall which has a capacity of 450 students, where vegetarian & non- vegetarian students can eat separately.
Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls' Public School is one of the oldest educational institutes of Rajasthan. The founder principal of this school was Ms. L.G. Lutter. It has acquired international repute by attracting students from overseas as well. One of the finest features is that it is open to the girls of all classes without distinction of race, class or social status. The 26 acres campus contains beautiful large buildings, gardens, lawns, sports fields and swimming pool. There are six Houses in each of which is a special age group. Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls' Public School, Rajasthan is located near Ajmeri gate, in the center of the beautiful city of Jaipur. From different parts of India and abroad students, admit in this school. The school is divided into four houses, which are named after four great women achievers, Helen Keller, Madame Curie, Sarojini Naidu and Florence Nightingale. The school has boarding facilities as well and known as one of the oldest residential schools in India. The institution has developed all round, steadily widening its educational base and values. Intellectual, physical, social and emotional aspects of the students are well taken care of in order to develop their all round personality.
