Orchids The International School was set up by K12Techno Services Pvt. Ltd., an education service provider.
Academics The academic syllabus follows that set by CBSE/ICSE/NCERT and the broad curriculum framework follows that set by the Cambridge International Primary Program (CIPP) of the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE, Cambridge Board).
Classes are from Pre-Primary to High School level, as follows:- Pre-Primary/Nursery School: The toddlers learn simple mathematical concepts, develop problem-solving skills through unique activities, enjoy self-learning through books, develop their motor skills through physical activities, go on field trips, etc.
- Primary School: Classes are from Std.1 to Std.5. At this level, the children are exposed to multidisciplinary learning & are encouraged to develop self-learning skills. Subjects include: English, Sciences, Mathematics, Art, Music and Physical education.
- Middle School: Classes are from Std.6 to Std. 8. In addition to English, Math & Social Studies, Communications & Technology form part of the curriculum. Students can select a second language along with one vocation-related activity (music, drama, art).
- High School: Classes are from Std.9 to Std.12. At the Std.8 level, the student has to select the option of the Board for studies in high school, namely either the CBSE/ICSE Board or the Cambridge Board (IGCSE & A levels from CIE).
Facilities & Infrastructure- Orchids The International School, Jalahalli has set up an Online Management Software, whereby parents can follow their ward's performance.
- All classrooms have Net connectivity with interactive boards & audio-visual equipment.
- Labs: There is an independent Tab lab facility for providing students with a unique interactive learning experience. In addition to a computer lab and science labs, there are English language labs to improve the student's communication skills. There is also a dedicated Math lab for developing mathematical concepts. The most interesting labs are the aero-modelling and robotics labs.
- Art, drama and music learning facilities are provided on campus.
Facilities for Sports & Physical Activities: There is a separate playground for the pre-primary & primary school students. The students of the higher classes can enjoy a game of basket ball and volley ball, use the athletic track or skating ring. The school also has a swimming pool.
