About the School

The Anglo Urdu Boys' High School is one of the oldest high schools in Pune which was established in 1920. Initially, the school was run by the British Government before the Independence but later on, its management shifted to the Maharashtra cosmopolitan education society. At the time of start, the school was in Urdu medium and it shifted to English medium considering the demand of time.

Infrastructure details

The school has well-equipped /set science laboratory, a library and reading room with great collection of books on different subjects. It also has modern sports complex with all required instruments and a computer laboratory. The school has involved electronic and computers courses to make their students keep up with the expectations of the changing times.

They have started junior college attached to the high school last year, so now the students can complete their education up to std. XIIth in any of the three disciplines they are offering- Arts, commerce and science.

To be different from the normal, they also have hostel facility, canteen and physical training section for students. The hostel is for college girls, which can accommodate about 105 girls.

Physical training is compulsory for all the students of the Jr.College as per Maharashtra State Government rules.
