Maharishi Vidya Mandir (MVM) was established in 1992 at Tiruvannamalai and is managed by the society of Maharishi Shiksha Sansthan. The institution is a part of Maharishi Global Education Movement. The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. It is a co-educational institution and focuses more on providing fruitful education to the students. English is the medium of instructions in the school.
AcademicsThe school offers education from Pre-Nursery to class XII as per the CBSE curriculum. The school provides both scholastic and non-scholastic education and evaluates the performance of the students by conducting exams, tests and assignments periodically. Computer education is given to the students from class III to higher classes. English is the first language and Hindi/Tamil can be opted as the second language.
MVM follows consciousness based- atma system of education by adopting Maharishi technology of consciousness to achieve excellent results. Both the faculty and the students practice meditation twice a day before and after class.

InfrastructureMVM covers an area of 5.36 acres land and the campus is lush green. The built area of the school is 1629 sq.mts and the school is designed according to the Maharishi Sthapatya Ved-Vastu Vidya and Vedic Architecture. It is a pollution free campus planted with trees and plants. MVM has separate classrooms for each section and laboratories for science and computer science. Rooms for yoga, meditation, dance and music are available for the students to practice fine arts. The school library has collection of books, periodicals, magazines and dailies. The school has playground, courts and facilities to play games and sports such as volleyball, hockey, cricket, football, tennis, carom, table tennis and chess. Transport facilities are available for the pickup and drop of the students.
ActivitiesApart from education, MVM educates the importance of Yoga and Paranayam to the students and provides a real experience. The school encourages the students to participate in inter-school competitions, district level, state level and national level events and sports meet. To unleash creativity, the school motivates the students to participate in competitions such as essay writing, elocution, soap carving, water painting, quiz, karate, yoga, science quiz, flower decoration, clay modelling, etc.
