About Maharishi Vidya Mandir School
Maharishi Vidya Mandir (MVM) Senior Secondary School was established in the year 2012 and is managed by Mathi Educational Trust. The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education and it offers education from Pre KG to class XII. It is a co-educational institution and English is the medium of instructions in the school. The school gives more importance to the academic excellence of the students.
Infrastructure The school campus is spread over 3.42 acres land. The school has ventilated classrooms, visual media facilities, a well stocked library and well equipped science labs and a computer lab with internet facilities. The school has a playground and facilities for indoor games and sports. Dance room and Music rooms are also available in the school for the students. The school offers transportation facilities for the pickup and the drop of the students.
Academics Maharishi Vidya Mandir follows XSeed curriculum for Kindergarten. The students from class I to X are assessed based on the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) pattern. The school strictly follows CBSE curriculum from class I to XII. The school develops the knowledge of the students on the basic subjects like Mathematics, Science and Social. English is the compulsory first language in the school. From UKG to class X, the students can opt for either Hindi or Tamil as second language. From class V to VIII, the students can opt for Hindi or Tamil or French as third language.
Activities The school conducts Only Success Leadership Academy Programme (OSLAP) for the students. OSLAP classes are conducted once in a week, where special trainers train the students and help them to develop the Life skills, leadership skills, Study skills, Communication skills and Public speaking skills. The school also encourages the students to participate in special activities such as arts and craft, Bharatanatyam, karate, Carnatic Music and Sports and Games such as cricket, hand ball, badminton, gymnastics, archery, basketball and carrom. The school has separate units for Scouts and Guides. Various clubs that are actively operating in the school are IT club, Heritage club, Karuna club, Tamil club, English Club, Hindi club, Eco club, Drama club, Fine Arts club, Maths club, Quiz club and Reading club. The clubs offer special training and organize many events, activities and competitions to fine tune the skills of the students.
