The Royaal World School, Pune is a co-ed English medium private school from the pre-primary level to Class X that follows the prescribed curriculum of the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) Board. The school was established about a dozen years ago and is under the management of the Virgo Education Trust.
Academics The pre-primary section of Royaal World School, Pune is known as Royaal Kids. Sensory, motor and cognitive skills are developed through fun activities, such as art, music, language, and creative classes. At the primary level, students start formal learning. English is the first language, Hindi the second, and Marathi the third. Other subjects include Maths, Environmental science or Social Science Studies, Computer, etc and co-scholastic classes include GK, PE, music, dance, etc. Quizzes, cultural programs, field trips are some of the co-curricular activities. Students of the secondary section learn the subjects of English, Hindi (Second language), History, Civics and Geography, Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, Economics, and Environmental Applications. Socially Useful Productive Work (SUPW) and Community Service are part of the compulsory internal assessment requirements. Students are encouraged to learn Karate and attend Yoga sessions are scheduled from time to time.
Campus infrastructure To provide for a unique interactive learning experience, the classrooms at Royaal World School are equipped with Tata Interactive Teaching Aids and display boards in each not only provide relevant information about activities, schedules, etc but also showcases the talent of the students. Other facilities include a library that is stocked with textbooks, fiction, management, and other published material, science labs, computer labs, separate safe play areas for the pre-primary kids, etc. Sports facilities include those for basketball, cricket, badminton, table tennis, chess, carrom, etc. There are also demarcated areas for traditional sports like Kho-Kho. School buses are available to specific areas of the city.
Admission procedure at Royaal World School Parents can obtain the admission form and prospectus (the cost is Rs.400/-) from the school office between 8 am to 4 pm on working days only for admission to Nursery, Junior KG, and Senior KG. The admission schedule is put up on the school's website and displayed on the office notice board. The age criteria for admissions as of 30th September of the academic year is - 3+ for Nursery, 4+ for Jr KG, 5+ for Sr. KG, 6+ for Class 1. For Class 2 onwards, admission is only on the basis of the School Leaving Certificate of the previous school and admission depends on seat availability.
The documents required to be submitted with the application form for admissions include the original/Notarized birth certificate of the student and the original school-leaving certificate/Transfer certificate from the recognized school for Admission to Class II onwards. Also required are- a photocopy of the Progress/Report Card of the previous schooling year, four passport-size colour photos of the child, the completed Heath Information Form that is provided by the school with the application form, a copy of the Passport if available, and Aadhar Card copy.
