About Saraswati Mandir Education Society School

Established in 1950, the Saraswati Mandir Education Society initially started its Marathi medium school and from the academic session 1962-1963 has both Marathi as well as English medium teaching classes.

Currently over four thousand students are on its rolls. The CBSE section of the co-educational school was started in 2010.

Infrastructure and facilities

The SSC section of the school is located in a five-storeyed building, with a separate three-storeyed building for the CBSE students.

All classrooms have e-learning equipment as teaching aids and the school library with more than ten thousand books has reading material in both English and regional languages.

The science labs are so well-equipped and maintained that the school was even honoured with having the best science lab of the local municipal ward for the year 2010-2011. The computer lab is spacious, with a desktop for each individual student. Six years ago, the school launched a language lab to enable students develop good English skills.

The air-conditioned hall in the school building's basement is utilized well for holding programs and general activities.

Sports facilities are sufficient, with the school having its own large playground.

General activities

Other than formal education, students are encouraged to participate in extra -curricular and co-curricular activities. They also participate in Elementary and Intermediate competitive drawing exams, with efficient lessons by Art & Craft faculty. Art, craft, dance & music classes are conducted on a weekly basis each Saturday.

Cultural programs, festivals and the school's annual & sports day are all enjoyed with great gusto by students and teachers alike.

Parents can make enquiries at the school office for any queries related to the admission process and school fees on week days between 10a.m. to 4p.m. and on Saturdays between 9a.m. to 1p.m.
