About Alameen Matriculation Higher Secondary School
Al-Ameen Matriculation Higher Secondary School was started in the year 1969. It is a co-educational institution with medium of instructions as English. The school provides education to the students with proper adequate amenities and good educational facilities. It is recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu. The main aim of the school is to inculcate confidence, discipline and good habits in the students.
Academics
Al-Ameen Matriculation Higher Secondary School offers education from class 1 to 12 as per the curriculum of the Tamil Nadu state board. The students are given education on subjects such as Tamil, English, Mathematics, Science, Social studies and computer science. In addition to these subjects, the students at all the levels are given education on Hindi. For the secondary and senior secondary classes, the school offers both theoretical and practical education. The school provides extra care and coaching especially to the students of class 10 and 12 and prepares them to face the board examinations conducted by the Tamil Nadu state government. The school regularly assesses the academic position of the students by conducting tests, assignments and exams.
Infrastructure
The school campus covers a wide area and is located close to the bus stand and railway station. The school has southern and northern blocks with spacious and well-furnished classrooms. The classrooms give good ambiance and learning mood to the students. To promote visual based learning and to conduct Educomp smart class, the classrooms are fitted with display boards and other digital teaching aids. To encourage the reading habit of the students and to provide academic resources to teachers and students, the school has a large library with a vast collection of books. To provide practical education to the students on science subjects, the school has well-equipped physics lab, chemistry lab and biology lab. The school also has auditorium, playground, gym and facilities for indoor games and outdoor sports.
Activities
The school always works hard to identify the talent of the students, so it regularly conducts creative competitions such as elocution, essay writing, singing, dance, etc and also engages the students in activities such as acting, gardening, singing, painting, oratory, dramatics, gadgets making, puppetry, dance, etc. The school provides opportunities for the students to excel their work in handicrafts and in other productive work. The students are also involved into activities such as clubbing, scouting and Junior Red Cross. Every year the school organizes educational tours and field trips.
