About Mariyam Public High School, Jogeshwari

Mariyam Public High School is a co-ed English medium school up to Class 10, managed by the Al-Ilm Educational Welfare Trust. Syed Anwar Ahmad, Vice Chairman of the trust, set up this school in 2002 with the aim to provide education at low cost to underprivileged children.

The school follows the Maharashtra State Board curriculum. Students have done well in the Class 10 Board exams, with 100% results, thanks to the teaching methodology of well-qualified lady teachers.

While the school mainly has students from the Muslim community, it also has non-Muslim students for whom it is not mandatory to attend 'Diniyat' classes.

Infrastructure and facilities

Mariyam Public High School is located in a rented building with spacious classrooms for its over 1000 students. The school library is a small one and there are a few computers.
