About Shree Dnyaneshwari Vidyalaya Dombivli School
Dyaneshwari Vidyalaya, Dombivli was established in 2002. Starting with less than two dozen students at the pre-primary level, today the co-educational school has classes up to Std.10 with over six hundred students on its rolls. At the SSC exams each year, one or two students score 90% and above, which is very commendable. A future plan of the school is to extend classes up to Std.12 and offer IT education as well.
Academics and co-curricular activities Dyaneshwari Vidyalaya, Dombivli follows the Maharashtra State Board SSC curriculum with English as the medium of instruction.
Students of the pre-primary and primary level enjoy activities like story telling, drawing, poetry, clay modelling, diya decoration during the festive season, etc. Class 5 onward, there are quizzes, elocution, mental maths, kite making & other interesting activities along with competitions. There is a special day assigned as 'Reading Day' in addition to celebrating national festivals and the school annual day.
Dyaneshwari Vidyalaya has a number of clubs, including English, Marathi and Hindi language clubs, Maths and Science clubs, etc. Every student is a member of one of the four clubs, namely Vayu (Wind), Prithvi (Earth), Agni (Fire) and Jal (Water).
The school trains its students in traditional games such as kabaddi and kho-kho. Inter-school gymnastics competitions are held in the school three times annually.
Infrastructure and facilities The classrooms of Dyaneshwari Vidyalaya are equipped with interactive smart boards, which are an effective teaching-learning tools. There is a hall for yoga, dance and aerobics. Gynmastics facilities with requisite equipment are also available. Labs for science and computers are well maintained, as also the school library. The school has an audio-visual room too, with a projector and screen.
Admission processParents of children of 3 years of age as on 31st July of the academic year can apply for admission to Dyaneshwari Vidyalaya for their wards to Jr. K.G. Those seeking admission for the first time will need to submit the child's birth certificate. Those applying for admission to the primary section will need to submit a school leaving certificate from a recognized school and if from outside the State of Maharashtra, then it must be countersigned by the Education authority of the District in which the child was studying.
Parents must submit the following at the time of applying for admission:
- Proof of address, such as the Ration card, the electricity Bill or residence agreement.
- Passport size photo.
- Registration fees of Rs. 200/-.
