About Sheth Virchand Dhanji Devshi English Medium School
Established in 1985, S.V.D.D. English Medium School is a co-educational school which imparts education in English from the pre-primary section up to Class 10.
Note that the school also has primary and secondary sections in Gujarati medium.
AcademicsThe school follows the S.S.C. syllabus of the State Govt. Education Board. The Languages in the curriculum are: English, Marathi, Hindi, Gujarati. Other subjects are: Mathematics, Science, Social Science (which includes History, Political Science, Geography, Economics), Information & Communication Technology. Additionally, knowledge of Indian Mythology, Indian history and of the Epics are imbibed in the students. Classes in Physical Education and sports training, Art and Craft are also provided, as also Girls Guide and Boys Scout.
Personality Development classes are provided for students of Class 9 and Class 10.
A professional counselor is available to schedule need-based counseling sessions for the students.
Infrastructure and facilities To maintain safety and security, the entire school campus is equipped with CCTV cameras.
Classrooms are equipped with Digital technology. In addition to the science labs, there is a Maths lab and an ICT lab. The library in the seconday section is open to not only faculty and students, but to parents as well. E-learning facilities are available in this library. The school canteen provides refreshments, with food cooked and served in a hygienic manner.
In the large assembly hall, students assemble for morning prayers and value-based lessons are also organized here from time to time.
General information The school hours are 7.45 a.m. to 1.45 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Parents can meet the school Principal with prior appointment from Monday to Thursday, 10.30 a.m. to 12 noon.
