About Blossom Public School
Blossom Public School was established in the year 2001 and is managed by Wisdom foundation. It is a co-educational institution affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. The school aims to offer excellent academic education and value-based education to the children. Blossom Public School lays a strong educational foundation to the students and strives hard to bring the best out of every student.
Academics
Blossom Public School offers education from Pre.KG to class XII as per the CBSE curriculum. For KG classes, the school follows play-way method to educate the kids. For primary, high school and senior secondary classes, the school conducts smart classes in an interactive learning environment to cultivate the academic knowledge. The school educates the students by involving them into various activities and educational works. Both theoretical and practical classes will be conducted for the better understanding of the subjects. The school regularly conducts various programmes and special classes to develop the personality and special skills of the students. The academic evaluation of the students is purely based on the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) method, formulated by the CBSE board.
Physical education is a part of the academic curriculum from class I. The school encourages the students to participate in the sports and games to improve the health and fitness levels. Special training is also provided to the interested students on the games and sports.
Educational partners
The educational partners associated with the school are Educomp, Ez Vidya and Edusports. To set up smart classrooms and 3D theater in the school, the school has associated with Educomp. To develop the computer knowledge of the students, the school has partnership with EZ Vidya and participates in an innovative technical programme called Chrysalis. To provide physical education programme, the school has partnership with Edusports. It is noted that Edusports is one of the leading Physical Education and School Sports Company in India.
Infrastructure
Blossom Public School is located at Thanjavur and it provides good learning atmosphere to the students. To conduct classes, the school has separate well-furnished classrooms for each section. For nursery section, the school has AV room equipped with multimedia computer and LCD projector. The smart classrooms in the school are fitted with smart boards and audio-visual equipment. To provide practical experience to the students, the school has well-equipped language lab, maths lab, physics lab, chemistry lab and biology lab. Two separate computer labs are available in the school for the use of the students in primary and secondary section. To explain the concept and theories in Maths and Science subjects, the school has a 3D theater. The school has a common library with wide range of books on various topics.
To conduct extra-curricular events, cultural activities, competitions and other functions, the school has a fully air-conditioned multipurpose hall with high quality audio system and LCD projector. For the primary and the secondary sections, the school provides lunch on an optional basis. The Kidz Kitchen at the school offers nutritional and healthy food to the children. For emergency purpose and to take care of the students who fall sick, the school has an infirmary with six beds and a small dispensary. Transportation service is available in the school for the pickup and the drop of the students.
Activities
To hone the skills of the students, the school has taken a special initiative in the name of JOY ( Just Open Yourself) and BLISS (Blossom Literary & Intellectual Society For Students). All the activities conducted by JOY and BLISS are not a part of the normal school curriculum. By participating in the activities of JOY and BLISS, the students can improve their knowledge, communication skills and creativity. It is the best platform for the students to eliminate stage fear, shyness and build confidence.
The interested students from grade III to V can participate in the activities of JOY and can exhibit their talent. The activities conducted by JOY are debate, quiz, elocution, dumb charades, essay writing, spelling bee, music, singing and dance.
The students from class IV to IX can participate in the activities of BLISS. The activities conducted by BLISS are talk shows, quiz, ad zap, elocution, debate, singing, dance and essay writing.
B-Sure is another initiative carried out by the school to shape the character and personality of the students. The students from class VI can attend this course. The B-Sure course covers the topics such as moral values, leadership, anger management, communication skills, team work, stress management, public speaking, goal setting, confidence building, time management, assertiveness, problem solving and career guidance.
Events
Blossom Public school organizes annual events such as Teachers Day, Children's Day, Sports Day, Independence Day, Grandparents Day, Week of Wonders (WOW), Blossom Bonanza and A Day of Rocking Environment (ADORE).
