About PGP International School
PGP International School was established in the year 2009 and is managed by PGP Educational and Welfare Society. It is a co-educational institution affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. The school works to nurture the young minds and raise them as a responsible citizen. It is a day cum residential school which offers high quality education to the students. The school strives hard for the overall development of the students by offering excellent education at good learning environment.
Academics PGP International School offers education from pre-Nursery to senior secondary classes as per the CBSE curriculum. The school gives importance to both scholastic and co-scholastic activities. For KG classes, the school follows Continuous and Informal Evaluation through which the performance of the students are evaluated based on their activities, worksheets and class work. From primary to secondary level classes, the school gives a learning experience to the students by conducting group discussions, project work, experiment and other hands-on activities. The academic performances of the students from grade I to X are evaluated based on the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) pattern. As per the CBSE directives the academic session is divided into two terms and the school conducts 2 formative assessments and 1 summative assessment in each of the 2 terms.
For senior secondary classes (Class XI and XII), the school offers the following group of subjects

Infrastructure PGP International School is located at the outskirts of Namakkal. The school campus is surrounded by a scenic beauty with Kolli hills at the backdrop of the school building. The campus covers an area of 13.80 acres of land. The classrooms in the school are spacious, ventilated and well-furnished. All the classrooms in the school have display boards to display drawings, painting, creative chart works and craft works. To learn along with the technology, the school has ultra-modern NIIT interactive digital classroom. To conduct practical classes, the school has fully equipped and sophisticated laboratories for physics, chemistry, biology and computer. To teach the concept of mathematics in an easy and understanding way, the school has maths lab.
For the faculty, the school has a web learning and resource center with internet connectivity to complete their work. The school has an Audio-Visual (AV) room with a seating capacity of 50 members. The AV room has wide screen with digital audio system and projector to conduct workshop, seminars and guest lectures. The school library has a reading room, reference section and a seminar area. The reference section of the library is stocked with wide collection of books, periodicals and magazines. For the pre-primary and primary children, the school has a separate activity room filled with toys, blocks, slides and play-equipment.
For emergency purpose and to take care of the students who fall sick, the school has a 4 bedded infirmary and a staff nurse. To buy text books, stationery materials, notebooks and other necessary items, the school has an equipped store. Transportation facility is available in the school for the pickup and the drop of the day scholar students.
Boarding PGP International School has separate boarding facility for boys and girls. The hostel offers good facilities to lead a comfortable life. Each dorm in the hostel is shared by 6 six students. The dorm has furniture such as wardrobes, writing tables and bed. The hostel has fully tiled toilets and bathrooms with good water supply. For entertainment and recreation, the hostel has an entertainment room. A delicious and nutritious vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is prepared by highly experienced Chefs for the hostel students. The hostel has a separate dining hall for boys and girls. The school strictly follows the boarding routine on both the working days and the weekends. The school hostel provides a good environment and also encourages the students to participate in various activities to gain a new experience in life.
Activities The school gives importance to extra-curricular activities, games and sports. The co-scholastic activities are a part of the curriculum and the school provides opportunities for the students from class I to X to actively participate in it. The co-scholastic activities conducted at the school are fine arts, dance and music. Professional experts provide training to the students in bharathanatyam, folk dance, mix and match tribal dance, tabla, keyboard, violin, harmonium, mrithungam and veena.
For both the day-scholar and residential students, the school offers special training in games and sports such as football, badminton, volleyball, tennis, kabaddi, kho-kho, skating, netball, track events, table tennis, carom and chess. Students are also given opportunities to involve into adventure sports like river crossing, trekking and rock climbing.
The clubs that are operating in the school are Quiz, drama, Home Science, Nature club - Pets corner, Language, Science, IT club, Fine arts & crafts, Music and Photography. The club activities brings out the special talent of the students and also provides a good platform to fine tune the talent and interest of the student in other fields.
