About Mukundha International School
Mukundha International School (MIS) was started in the year 2010 and is managed by Venkateswara Trust. The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi and offers education to the students from LKG to class X. It is a co-educational institution with English as the medium of instruction. The school has well-qualified and trained teachers who implement modern methods of teaching to provide quality education to the students. The aim of the institution is to shape the personality of the students and to identify the hidden talents within them by providing effective education and a wide range of opportunities. To provide holistic and quality education, the school also has excellent infrastructure and facilities.
Academics MIS follows NCERT syllabus as per the CBSE curriculum. For the KG kids, the school concentrates on the overall development of the child by providing training in motor skills such as paper folding, plastic moldings, block fittings, puzzles, coloring, etc. and various activities. To improve the psycho motor domain, the school conducts play station computer aided teaching in the activity rooms allocated for the tiny tots. For the students of class I to V, the school teaches general academic subjects and also takes steps to improve the reading, speaking and writing skills. In addition to the development of these basic skills, the school also conducts physical education training classes and other special classes in the abacus, art and craft, value and health education.
The academic curriculum in the school includes the following subjects: English, Tamil, Hindi, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies.
The academic performance of the students is evaluated based on the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) pattern of the CBSE board. As per the CCE pattern, the school conducts weekly tests, cycle tests and terminal tests to the students and evaluate both the scholastic and co-scholastic knowledge of the students. To develop the interest of the students towards the subject, the school assigns project work, home assignments and other interesting activities.
Facilities Mukundha International School has an excellent learning atmosphere and is well-equipped with air-conditioned classrooms, laboratories, library and canteen. The classrooms in the school are spacious, well-furnished and are fitted with interactive boards to improve the learning process. Separate well-equipped laboratories are available in the school for subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer. Activities The School has 4 houses- Nightingale (Red), Kingfisher (Blue), Parakeet (Green) and Canary (Yellow). The students of all the grades are separated into 4 houses and the school conducts various house activities and competitions. To develop the special talent of the students, the school provides opportunities for the students by organizing various events, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. As a part of the co-scholastic area, the school also conducts classes to develop the life skills, emotional skills, social skills, communication skills and other personality development skills.
Inter-house Co-curricular competitions
To identify the talent of the students, the school regularly conducts co-curricular competitions on action song, bulletin board, crayon coloring, drawing and painting, English recitation, fancy dress, group dance (western), group singing, grammar capsule, pencil shading, public speaking, flower arrangements, spell bee, solo singing (semi classical), story-telling, Thirukkural recitation, water from waste, vegetable carving and quiz.
Clubs The subject clubs that are operating in the school are Language / Literary club, Science club, Mathematics club and Social club. The hobby clubs in the school includes art and drawing, gardening, dance, drama, handcrafts, carpentry, chalk and candle making, instrumental music, red cross, singing, social work, stitching work, etc. Other special clubs in the school are eco-club, quiz club and art and craft club.
