About DSK School Dhayari
DSK School, Pune is a co-educational school which follows the ICSE Curriculum. The school is located in DSK Vishwa township and is managed by D.S.Kulkarni Educational Trust, which is part of the DSK Group. Thanks to the highly qualified staff who have created a good learning environment, the students have done well each year in the Class 10 ICSE exams.
Academics and co-curricular activitiesThe classes of DSK School, Pune are from pre-school level to Class 10. There are about 30 students to a teacher and each student is given due individual attention. The class levels are -
- Pre School: This includes Play Group, Nursery, Junior K.G. & Senior K.G.
- Primary Section: This includes Classes from I to IV.
- Secondary section: This includes Classes from Standard V to X.
Students are encouraged to participate in community service and can enjoy classes in both Fine Arts and Performing Arts.
There are interesting clubs, such as Whiz Kids and Young Entrepreneur clubs. Students can also enjoy a stint of gardening and participate in sports activities. The school is host to an annual inter-school sports meet.
Infrastructure & Facilities The DSK School campus is entirely Wi-Fi enabled. The library has a well-equipped resource center, with a collection of question papers for competitive exams as well as for academic subjects. In addition to reference books and encyclopedias, the library has textbooks on varied subjects as well as dictionaries, leading newspapers and magazines.
All science labs are fitted out with modern equipment. The large computer lab has a sufficient number of computers for both students and faculty. There is a separate lab for Geography. In the audio-visual room, which is equipped with an LCD projector, students are shown documentaries & presentations of projects.
Sports facilities are provided for skating, athletics, basketball, cricket, volleyball, Kho-kho, etc.
The school provides a bus facility for the students, with each bus equipped with a fire extinguisher. There is also a lady attendant on board every bus. The school bus fee has to be paid for the entire 12 months period of an academic session.
Admission processParents have been advised not to queue up outside the school premises for admission to DSK School, Pune, as this is not based on first come first serve basis. Parents need to simply submit the requisite admission form on the due date, along with all the requisite documents & two colour photos. No interviews either of the child or of the parents are conducted. Instead, parents will be intimated about the schedule to interact with the school authorities.
Parents should note that admissions to the primary and secondary sections of DSK School, Pune are given against existing vacancies. In case of a new admission, the latest school report must be submitted along with the application form. You cannot get admission for your ward in Class 8 and above (if there are vacancies) unless your child is seeking admission from an I.C.S.E. school and has a good academic record.
For the pre-primary section the age criteria, as on 31st July of the academic year for which admission is sought, is -
- For Nursery the child should be 3 years and above.
- For Junior KG the child should be 4 years and above.
School Timings- Pre-primary section: 9.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.
- Std I & II: 7.50 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.
- Std III to X: 7.50 a.m. to 2.50 p.m.
