About Bombay Presidency International School
Established by the Mulund Education Trust, Bombay Presidency International School (BPIS) in Mumbai is an English medium, co-ed school presently having classes from Nursery to Grade VII. It will soon offer education based on the ICSE curriculum from Nursery to Grade X. A unique aspect of BPIS is to involve parents, too, in the education process of their wards. Thus the school organizes skills' lectures for parents and parents-teachers conferences. On-campus visits are also scheduled to bring families together.
In addition to celebrating national days, sports day and an annual day, there are special days on a theme, such as a monsoon day or on a day when teachers organize a GK quiz or a puppet show.
Academics- Pre-primary section: The children in Nursery, Jr. KG and Sr. KG learn through the play way method with simple pre-reading & pre-writing activities at the nursery level. Subsequently, the concepts of language and basic maths are imbibed in the Jr. and Sr. KG classes. Music, dance, yoga are some of the other enjoyable activities. The toddlers can also enjoy browsing through books in their very own library.
- Primary section: Children from Grade 1 to Grade 5 learn subjects such as Maths, Science and Arts based on a specific theme. Other subjects include English, Environmental studies, Hindi, Marathi, Life Skill, Music Yoga, and Physical Education. Charts, films, models, etc are used as teaching tools to make learning a fun, interactive experience.
- Secondary section: The school will soon be starting classes from Grade 6 to Grade 8. Subjects will include English, Mathematics, Social Science, Hindi, Marathi, Art, SUPW, Life skills, Yoga, Physical Education and Music.
Infrastructure & Facilities BPIS has smart classrooms with e-learning teaching aids. There is a large assembly hall, a computer room and a playground on campus. CCTV cameras have been installed for security purposes.
