About St. Jude's Public School and Junior College
St. Jude's Public School was started in the year 1979. It is a residential, international school which is continuing its service in the field of education for more than 35 years. The school aims to deliver quality education to the students along with moral and spiritual values. SJPS is affiliated to the ISC council and prepares the students for ICSE and ISC examinations. It is a co-educational, English medium public school which caters to the educational development of the children. Other than academics, the school also involves the students in sports and other extra-curricular activities. All the activities conducted by the school are designed to meet the requirements of the international standards. The school cultivates the values of humanity, discipline, spirituality and social responsibility into the minds of the students and tries to develop them as a responsible citizen with good qualities.
School timings Morning Assembly: 8.45 a.m. to 9.00 a.m.

St.Jude's Residential school conducts separate study hours in the morning (7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.) and at the night (7:00 a.m. to 8:15 p.m.). To start the day afresh and active, the school daily conducts yoga and exercise sessions in the morning (6:00 a.m. to 6:30 a.m.), before morning study hours.
Academics SJPS offers education from class I to XII. Education is given to the students to develop the subject knowledge both theoretically and practically. The curriculum includes subjects such as Language, English, Mathematics, Science, Social and Computer Science. Apart from education, the school also provides opportunities for the students to develop their personality and skills. SJPS follows the ICSE and ISC curriculum and prepares the students to face the board examinations conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) for class X and XII.

Facilities St.Jude's School has a friendly learning environment with a world-class infrastructure. The classrooms in the school are well-furnished and ventilated. To conduct interactive learning sessions, the school uses digital teaching equipment. Separate well-equipped laboratories are available for subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer. Hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls. By providing a comfortable stay the school gives a home away from home feeling to the residential students. Dining halls are available separately for vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Healthy and hygienic food is included in the menu. To take care of the health of the students, the school has a health department with a nurse and a qualified physician. A playground is available in the school to provide physical education and professional sports training. Separate courts and play area is present inside the campus for games and sports such as basketball, volleyball, football, hockey, lawn tennis, table tennis, badminton, athletics, etc.
Activities To fine tune the skills of the students and to bring out the hidden talent of the students, the school conducts many co-curricular activities. Experts provide training on musical instruments like guitar, organ and drums as well as for Bharatanatyam, vocals and western dance. The department of art and craft triggers the creativity of the students by involving them in the drawing, painting, needlework, etc. The school conducts regular inter-house competitions and encourages the talent of the students. The students are given opportunities to prove their literary skills by participating in various literary activities such as debate, elocution, storytelling, essay writing, recitation, quiz, book review and Just-a- Minute (JAM).
Physical education is an integral part of the school curriculum. Every day in the morning, the school conducts yoga or physical education training to prepare the students both physically and mentally. In the evening, compulsory training is given to the students in games such as table tennis, badminton, athletics, lawn tennis, basketball, volleyball, hockey, football, etc. The school also hosts inter-house tournaments and athletic sports meet. The students of St.Jude's are motivated to participate in district level, state level and national level sports tournaments.
To give a real-time experience to the students and to make them understand about the community living, St.Jude's school arranges camps, excursions, field trips and picnics every year. On special occasions, the school organizes a buffet dinner with a bonfire. The school celebrates all major national festivals and religious festivals in a grand manner by conducting various cultural activities, competitions and events.
