About Bal Bharati Public School RGPPL
Established in April 2006, Bal Bharati Public School RGPPL, Ratnagiri, Maharashtra is an educational collaboration between Child Education Society, New Delhi and the Ratnagiri Gas and Power Pvt. Ltd (RGPPL). The co-ed English medium school has classes from the Montessori level up to Std. 10. The school is affiliated to the CBSE Board, New Delhi.
Academics and general activitiesSubjects for students of Class 1 to Class 10 include: English communicative; Hindi/Marathi/Sanskrit; Maths; General Science; Social Science; General Knowledge.
The class assignments can be accessed via links at the school website, these being provided with Educomp software. These assignments are given in various subjects, including math, science, social studies, music, reading, art, etc.
Students can join the clubs, namely Health and Wellness Club, Science Club, Language Club and Social Sciences Club. Trips are arranged for the senior school students at Bal Bharti Activity Centre at Solan, Himachal Pradesh, where they interact with students of other branches of Bal Bharti schools. At the annual day cultural event, prizes and certificates are awarded to meritorious students for academic as well as for curricular and co-curricular activities.
School infrastructureThe campus of Bal Bharati Public School RGPPL is spread over 5.5 acres with a beautiful garden of blossoming plants which is maintained by a dedicated gardener. There are two blocks, one for primary classes and the other for secondary classes. All classrooms are large, air-conditioned ones with lockers for the children's books and a class library. Computer-aided learning is provided via televisions in the primary classrooms. There is also the main air-conditioned library which is stocked with books, magazines and new arrivals in literature.
An interesting feature in every classroom is a large blackboard where the children can write or put up something artistic to show their talent. There are four House Boards as well for a monthly display of themes, to encourage teamwork and a competitive spirit to win the Best House Board Trophy at the end of the year.
Additional infrastructure includes a science lab which has all the relevant equipment and chemicals. There are 20 computers in the computer lab. Two doctors are available to provide medical aid and nearby hospitalization facilities are available when required.
The three washrooms are well maintained & clean. Two water coolers are also available to provide drinking water.
There is a large playground sports, including cricket, volleyball, tennis and football. Indoors, there are facilities for Table Tennis and Badminton. The school has won over two dozen medals at the State and District level.
School TimingsThe pre-primary classes are held from 8a.m. to 12 noon, from Monday to Saturday. Classes from Std. 1 to Std. 10 are from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday to Saturday. There is no school on every second and fourth Saturday of the month.
Admission procedureChildren can get admission to Montessori class and up to Class 9 on fulfilling the following age criteria as on 1st April of the current academic session, namely:
- For Montessori-I(L.K.G.) - Completed 3-½ years.
- For Montessori-II (U.K.G.) - Completed 4-½ years.
- Add one year to each of the subsequent classes.
At the time of admission to the school, the following documents are required:
- The application form for registration/Admission.
- Two latest passport size photographs.
- A photocopy of the child's Birth Certificate which has been issued by the competent authority. Misplaced the birth certificate?
