About Kothari International School Kharadi

Kothari International School (KIS), Kharadi, Pune currently has classes from Kindergarten level to Class 7. The co-ed school is planning to expand to the senior secondary level in the coming years. The playgroup section is known as Kothari Starz. The first academic session of the school started in 2016, with the school following the CBSE curriculum. When the higher secondary level is launched, students can opt to study the IGCSE curriculum.

Co-curricular and extra-curricular activities

Beyond the curriculum, KIS Kharadi students are exposed to the visual arts, such as Art and Craft, drawing and sketching, and varied regional Art forms as well. The performing arts' sessions include learning vocal and instrumental Indian and Western music. Teachers take the students on regular field trips which are related to subject topics so that they gain knowledge beyond what is taught in the classroom. There are a lot of interesting clubs, including one on environmental preservation, one on astronomy, one on drama and so on.

Infrastructure and facilities

Outdoor sports facilities at KIS Kharadi are provided for basketball and cricket. There is also a multi-purpose hall indoors, a swimming pool and a gymnasium. The school has a medical room with a trained nurse. A visiting doctor is available on call. They conduct regular health check-ups, including ones for oral hygiene. Other facilities on the campus include computer labs and science labs.
