About Podar Jumbo Kids, JP Nagar School

Ms. Roshan Ara, the Franchisee of Podar Jumbo Kids established Podar Jumbo Kids School on 13th April, 2014, at JP Nagar, Mysore. She was a qualified Higher Primary class teacher. Her enthusiasm to make little kids to little champs pushed her to start a new school for kids. The attractive, informative and easy activity based teaching model of Podar Jumbo Kids made her to become a franchisee of Podar Jumbo Kids.

Campus

The School management takes pain to keep the school environment safe and joyous. The school has four class rooms for various programs like Play Home (under 3 years old), Nursery (3-4 years old), Jr. Kindergarten (4-5 years old) and Sr. Kindergarten (5-6 years old). The classes are colorful and designed with pictorial representations, easy accessible study materials, audio visual aids, books, etc. Playing area, play equipment, sand play area, outdoor play items, soft toys, puzzles are facilitated to keep the kids engaged and motivated.

Teachers

Teachers with requisite qualification and NST training are recruited and are provided with additional training by the main center, in order to make them part of the Podar Jumbo Kids' successful academic journey. The teacher student ratio at this school is 1:15.

Concept based Curriculum

The School follows CBSE syllabus. The school curriculum model is to make the kids understand the concept for anything they learn. It believes that 'kids learning' about something within a meaningful context increases memory. Therefore, apart from the syllabus, each class takes up a concept every month and does activities based on it. Kids are taken to field trips every month in school vans to places based on that month's concept. Thus class study and field study on the same topic gives complete conceptualization to the kids on the topic the class has chosen. Sr. Kindergarten kids are given monthly projects based on the concept of the month.

Co-curricular

Early education of kids is not just learning the fundamentals of language or math. It is extended to discover our origin. The school organizes events to celebrate national and religious festivals. Important events like Mother's and Father's Day are celebrated along with the parents. For kids to enjoy their childhood, the school conducts Water Play, Parachute Play and Sand Play. The spirit of teamwork is ingrained in the kids through Annual Sports Day and Annual School Day. School maintains good relationship with parents by conducting events like Parents Master Chef contest and so on.

Kids from the age of 1 year 5 months to 5 years 5 months are eligible to get admission here. The school timing for Play Home and Nursery is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. For Jr. Kindergarten and Sr. Kindergarten the timings are from 9.30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The school provides uniform dresses for all classes.
