About Maharishi Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School
Established in July 2011 and managed by the Ramajayam Educational Trust, Maharishi Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School (MVM), Coimbatore is a CBSE-affiliated co-ed school (with permanent affiliation). The curriculum includes yoga, meditation and Pranayama as per Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's teachings. In the initial years, classes were up to Std.7 only. Now classes are up to Std.12.
Campus infrastructureWith a campus of a little over four acres, MVM, Coimbatore has plenty of enclosed spaces and open areas. The classrooms in the academic building are large, clean and properly ventilated. The library has the requisite stock of subject-wise books and periodicals. The science labs and computer lab are fully equipped with all modern facilities. Outdoor facilities are available for roller skating, basketball, cricket, etc. Indoors, children can enjoy a game of chess. The school also has a medical center for health checkups.
Outside academicsExtra-curricular activities include art and craft, learning the Keyboard, classical dance, Karate, etc. Art exhibitions, blood donation camps, cultural events to celebrate festivals, an annual sports day, etc are scheduled on a regular basis. Excursions are organized for various classes from time to time.
Admission procedure to MVM, CoimbatoreChildren can get admission to the Lower Kindergarten class of the school on completing three and half years on or before 31st March of the year in which admission is sought. The age for admission to other classes is accordingly determined, but no relaxation will be given for the age criteria.
The application form and prospectus can be obtained from the school office and submitted with the requisite documents. These include:
- The original birth certificate along with one copy of it.
- A Community Certificate duly attested.
- The duly attested Transfer Certificate from the previous school, if applicable.
- Medical reports, if any.
- Those who are applying for admission as Overseas students, Non-Resident Indians or Indians holding a passport are required to submit a Photostat copy of the passport for verification.
Based on various criteria, a merit list will be made from the applications for provisional admission. Parents of these children must then confirm the acceptance within the stipulated date. Then they can proceed to pay the requisite fee and submit the filled-in declaration form along with the requisite documents.
